Just saying if you want the cost to stay down, drop that "option"

The 4r70W is a good trans to build off of.
I have heard they can be built tough as nails for pretty cheap.
It's a common swap for the 5.0 guys to find 4r70w trannies off a V6 stang
and build them up cheap with better clutch packs and a stand-alone controller.

Check with Century Transmission down in Richmond.
They do good work, run a nice business and have been around a long time.

There is also Circle D transmission up off 290, but I thought their
pricing was pretty steep last time I checked with them on something.

Sounds like you just need to bite the bullet and take it in to a good
trans shop. They should do a free estimate for you I would think.

A few years back when I had mine built after the converter and install it was close to 3k and that was with a hook up.
