View Full Version : The build of Tucan Sam
Decided it's time to have some fun...
Everyone builds Busa's and the ZX14's, but nobody builds Hondas. Sure, it wont be faster than those mosters, but it'll still be fairly quick for a 1000, and it'll be completely streetable, and look ballin at the same time.
Eventually want to go 12inches out, with a little wider arm, for a 200-240 conversion. I know, they dont make a drag radial that big, but I'll figure somethin out when the time comes. lol
It'll be 3-4inches lowered, stock colors, new rims, and hopefully either on the bottle or turbo'd. Just depends on money at that time. Gotta start small.
The night after I bought her, already installed PCIII, Quicckshifter, Air filters, Jardine Slip-on, flushmount taillight/turn signals, and i took this pic before I put the front signals on.

Here's how she sits in current condition. Should be a fun year for the tucan.

Hah! Thanks for the suggestion phil.
They make diapers for your stock bottom end so it doesnt get all over the track? I'd gladly buy ya one of those...you'll need it when you step next to the Tucan.

like i said i love the length of that bike....Fred you would be surprised how well the bike corners long, you ride a long one, you will never ride a short bike again, my bike sold me on the idea
Thanks guys!
Carlos, Extensions, chain, sprockets, Lowering link and strap, your looking at probably 700-800 in parts.
Fred, it still rides and handles. Only difference is its not able to break out wheelies or stoppies anymore. Much better for me! lol
Phil, Sunday at the track, lets get it! lol. I'll let ya take it down the strip for a pass. It's time you felt how a REAL bike runs...lol
